School Assembly ProgramsDave Winstone, a native Australian and world traveler, transports children across the U.S.A. and around the world with his musical programs. An enthusiastic performer, multilingual vocalist, and instrumentalist, Dave has brought his talents to children in schools, libraries, summer camps, and festivals. Dave plays guitar, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, recorder, and harmonica, and engages students to sing along with songs old and new, rhythm exercises, and hand motions. Programs are both educational and entertaining and are enjoyed by students and teachers alike. Five programs specially tailored to elementary and middle school assemblies: Performance Workshop introduces the instruments above with songs from across the U.S. and around the world. Take a trip Down Under with Aussie Dave. Dressed in bush outfit, Dave takes you on a musical trip to the Australian Outback. Americana, Patriotic, and New Orleans: a program on banjo of Dixieland and Mardi Gras music. Saddle up and ride along with Cowboy Dave and songs of the Old West on guitar and harmonica. Irish, Celtic, Shanties: a wild romp through the British Isles and across the sea, meeting a few pirates on the way.
